Enhanced Chassis Design
The F104 PRO II utilizes a fiber-reinforced plastic (FRP) double-deck chassis that incorporates an updated lower deck for improved rigidity and handling response. Its inline longitudinal battery placement helps centralize mass, contributing to stable cornering and predictable weight transfer. These refinements work together with the streamlined F104 layout to create a chassis that feels light, direct, and highly controllable on the track.
Refined Suspension & Drivetrain
At the rear, the PRO II employs a 1.5-millimeter-thick FRP T-bar with a U-shaped cutaway, a design inherited from the F104WGP to enhance flexibility and traction characteristics. This T-bar works in concert with friction plates and a Tamiya Racing Factory (TRF) damper to deliver smooth suspension movement and consistent grip over varying track surfaces. Power is managed through an aluminum ball differential, offering efficient rotation and tunability for competitive setups.
Realistic Bodywork & Scale Details
The included polycarbonate body captures the aerodynamic direction of 2017 Formula machines, featuring a sharp slanting nose, bulging side pontoons, and sculpted surfaces for an authentic look. Additional parts allow builders to configure alternative lower side pontoon sections to accommodate larger RC equipment when needed. Separate molded components depict the complex front and rear wings, rear diffuser, mirrors, and even a driver helmet, while semi-pneumatic synthetic rubber tires and marking stickers complete the realistic presentation.
